Kenny Chesney’s new spirit line, Blue Chair Bay Rum, has hit the New York Metro area just as his “No Shoes Nation Tour” hits Met Life Stadium (including a Pre-Show Hangout launch event) this weekend. Much more than just another celebrity endorsement, Mr. Chesney has apparently been heavily involved in all aspects of the development and release of the rum by creating a rum that he himself wanted to drink. 

Using his love of the Caribbean as inspiration, Chesney worked to take his personal and artistic loves of the locale and bottle it into his own creation.  The result is an island (blended) rum, distilled in the Caribbean and made in casks on the shores of Barbados.

Chesney also enlisted master mixologist Jonathan Pogash to create signature Blue Chair Bay Rum cocktails. His recipes, including the one provided below, are designed to transport drinkers to “a laid-back island lifestyle no matter where they are”.

Island Girl
1 1/2 oz. Blue Chair Bay Coconut
1 oz. orange juice
1 oz. pineapple juice
2 oz. lemon-lime soda
Build ingredients directly into tall glass with ice. Stir and flirt. Want produce? Add an orange slice and cherry.
