Recap: First Annual Food Truck Mashup at Overpeck Park
Looking for info on the Jerseyfest Food Truck Mashup on May 31, 2014 at The Meadowlands?
For those who follow Boozy Burbs, unless you were living under a rock… you know that yesterday Exposure North Jersey (the events and community hosting arm of North Jersey Media Group) held a Food Truck Mash-Up. The Food Truck Mash-Up, which was held at Overpeck Park, ran from 4:00-10:00pm and featured 18+ trendy food trucks, live local music and other vendors as part of the celebration.
The official estimates are ranging from 8,000 to 10,000 attendees, which might be on the high side, but a huge crowd did come in full force to support the event. For those who were able to handle the traffic jams on Fort Lee Road, un-ample parking and hour+ line waits… some where actually able to get food. In fact, chatter on social media during the event showed that many were stuck in traffic, with quite a number changing plans and avoiding the event altogether.
Lombardi Pizza Co. had sold out around 7:15pm

That’s not to say the event wasn’t a success. Many of the trucks have announced huge sales and the event organizers have already said a follow up event is in the works, with kinks being ironed out to avoid some of this event’s pitfalls.
