Custom salad with 1/2 lb beef patty and avocado, carrots, cucumber, onions on baby spinach; Balsamic vinaigrette dresing

Blue Star Burgers, the new kid on the burger block (which recently opened in Tenafly), has added a Make Your Own Salad option to its existing menu. Customers are given a sheet (see below) and circle their choice of greens, cheeses, toppings and dressing. There are up to 25 toppings in all and burger “patties” and no “lettuce” supplements can be had for an additional fee (see menu below).

The cost is $3.50 for a side order (small) and $7.75 for a regular (large). The price includes as many mix-ins and toppings as you choose, besides the above mentioned supplements.
