Brand New: Grange Restaurant, Westwood, NJ

Quite a bit of excitement has been brewing (including a number of posts on this site) about the Christine Nunn-helmed Grange Restaurant that officially opened a little over a week and a half ago. Those with a fondness for Nunn’s cooking from her catering days or her recent Picnic Restaurant stint had been clamoring for the this opening for quite some time.

With the official opening out of the way, Grange is aiming for a mix of a low-key space with fine dining. The room holds approximate 35-40 people and has a rustic feel where the energy is clearly reminiscent of many casual establishments. But make no mistake, Grange is fine dining with twists on favorites and some staples from Nunn’s previous work.

The seasonal menu, which will begin to vary quite a bit according owner Brian Powell (one can always check the current Grange Westwood Menu), is broken down into three simple sections: Nibbles to share, Appies (more traditional appetizers) and The Main Event. All desserts are homemade, brought to life by the in-house pastry chef.
