Ravin Shavin Ice, the teenage-owned and operated Shaved Ice (or Shave Ice) cart, has announced their summer 2013 schedule ahead of the season. Till the end of the school year, Ravin Shavin will be on Washington Street in Tenafly on Fridays beginning at 2:50pm. Once school ends they will operate on weekends by the two Tenafly pools from 11:30am to 5:30pm, which they owners refer to as Hawaiian Time.

Mango Shave Ice

For those unfamiliar, Shave ice is created by shaving a block of ice and topped off with flavored syrup. It is a popular Hawaiian treat. Ravin Shavin features a rotating number of flavors during the season. Ravin Shavin are concerned about the environment and use clear biodegradable cups for service.
