The Clinton Inn in Tenafly is a hotel located in an area with a dearth of lodging and conference room options. The restaurant and bar have had numerous names over the years (most recently Christino’s), but when it was moved from the Southern side of the property to the Northern side a few years back, it has been the home to Palmer’s Crossing. The restaurant itself has undergone some shifts with new management over the last few months. Chef Hurtado cooks using fresh ingredients making food “that is accessible to as many people as possible”. The restaurant’s entire menu has been converted to highlight mostly “American Tapas”, which is a style Hurtado honed at his previous jobs. He refers to them as “American” since they are mixture of Asian, French, Spanish and other influences. These small plates are available during both lunch and dinner hours. The kitchen still serves traditional entrees (as well as sandwiches, salads and more) during service, but they are presented as specials which rotate every few days.
