Via official word from ownership, today Monday, March 11th 2013 marks the public opening of Acanto in Tenafly. After first reporting the takeover in December, the long-time empty and inactive building (formerly Sidebar) at 88 Piermont Road now houses an Italian restaurant with a completely renovated bar and full service dining room. The menu features Italian cooking with both French and Greek influences. A fully stocked bar of spirits, four rotating beers on tap and an extensive wine list are available as well.

They are serving lunch and dinner, with service running from Tuesday thru Sunday. A $14.95 lunch special is available and stay tuned for their first ever “Acanto Restaurant Week” featuring three course pre-fixe specials. They are also offering complimentary valet parking.
