While on vacation, Jersey City-based sister-in-laws Christina Nitsa and Vicky Tsikentzoglou were amazed how excited their kids got when they purchased some breath mints. Fast forward 1+ year later, the two now have their own line of mints called Mint Savor. Launched last October, the two spent countless hours both perfecting the signature shape of the their “tin” packaging and the flavors that ultimately are being sold at retail.

The mints currently come in four flavors: The classic Peppermint, Tangerine, Mojito (sorry folks, they are booze-free) and Pomegranate Passion Fruit (both fruit flavors combined). All flavors are kosher, sugar-free, gluten-free and allergen-free. The tin housing is uniquely shaped so that the bottom slides out to dispense the mints. The idea was to have slim and sexy packaging that would be attractive to young professionals.

As a way to give back, the peppermint flavor also comes in a limited edition Autism Awareness packaging. Nitsa works as a speech pathologist by day and works with many children and their families afflicted. By creating this special packaging, Mint Savor is donating 25 cents of every one of these sold to the National Autism Association.
