RAMSEY: The Record is reporting that Chef Steven Santoro (formerly of local spots Santoro’s in Teaneck; Sam’s in Cresskill; and more recently Fresco in Manhattan) is opening a restaurant named Local – Seasonal Kitchen which will feature food sourced within 100 miles and who’s menu will change every 2 weeks.

PARAMUS: The Capital Grille at Garden State Plaza is offering a “Wagyu Burger & Wine” till November 11th featuring a Wagyu beef burger paired with a choice of one of two glasses of wine for $25.

TENAFLY: Convenience Store of Tenafly has replaced Tenafly Convenience Store.

LEONIA: A showcase of Leonia’s food and wine establishments at the Taste of Leonia on October 28th from 1-3pm for Sculpture for Leonia.

EDGEWATER: From October 25 thru October 28, Mitsuwa hosts their Fall Umaimono Gourmet Fair featuring ramens, beef tongue, seafood bentos & mochi sweets and much more.

DUMONT: The Record’s food blog Second Helpings is reporting that Dave Finkelstein (formerly of Johnny’s Smokehouse in Pearl River) will be opening a new BBQ joint in called Fink’s (to replace Madison’s Bar & Grill).

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS: A restaurant named Central Kitchen is replacing Royal Cliffs Diner on Route 9w at Palisade Ave.

NORWOOD: BBs’ Chicken has closed after 2 and a half years. A chain named Yam Yam Chicken will be taking its place.

EDGEWATER: The annual Bluefin Tuna Cut will be held this year on November 17th & 18th.

DEMAREST: Yasou Mykonos has gotten the “Starters” treatment from The Record.

TENAFLY: According to the Second Helpings blog, Europe Cafe & Grill in Tenafly will feature Turkish specialties and the owner formerly owned Sapphire in Tenafly and Lodos in New Milford. Our Post.

ENGLEWOOD: Red Parrot Bistro has shut it’s doors after a few short months. A sign in the window says the space is available for rent.

TENAFLY: Longtime Korean-Chinese restaurant Hong Bo Suk has closed (probably best known for their “fish”-shaped window). A sign in the window says that a Korean BBQ restaurant is coming soon in its place.

MAHWAH: BOOM Burger will officially get their “Social” going with a Grand Opening 3 Day Celebration Thursday October 11th thru Saturday, October 13th.

TEANECK: Mexicali Live is having a Halloween Extravaganza on October 27th with live music from Thank You Scientist and Blue Food. Prizes will be given out for best costume.

PARAMUS (and other NJ locations): CUPS Frozen Yogurt will make a minimum donation of $7,500 from sales of its two pink yogurt flavors (No-Sugar-Added Strawberry and Pomegranate Raspberry Sorbet) in October to support National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and raise funds for the Jersey Affiliates of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

MONTVALE: The Porter House is having a Pig Roast with All You Can Eat Buffet on Sunday, October 7th starting at 12:30pm.

MAYWOOD: Session Bistro will be hosting their first “Brunch at the Theatre” on October 14th from 10:30am-1:30pm featuring a double one-act show with meal.

RIVER VALE: The River Vale Country Club is hosting their Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 23th from 1-8pm with a buffet dinner, draft beer specials and live music.

NEW MILFORD: Garden Cafe is hosting their first annual Halloween Party on October 13th at 6pm with live music and food.

CRESSKILL: Griffin’s Restaurant is hosting a 5 course Fall Wine Tasting Dinner on October 4th.

BERGEN COUNTY: (201) Restaurant Week will run from October 7th-11th and 14th-18th with lunch and dinner specials at 50+ area restaurants.

WESTWOOD: Bibi’z Restaurant & Lounge is hosting their Spice Up Your Life Wine Tasting on October 16th with four courses of wine and food to benefit the Dizzy Gillespie Memorial Fund.

CLOSTER: Harvest Bistro will host Joseph Phelps Wine Dinner on October 24th featuring 5 courses and pairings.

RIDGEWOOD: Park West Tavern is turning their backyard patio into a biergarten featuring Octoberfest-style beers as well as a buffet dinner featuring roasted pig and sausages on October 11th between 5-8pm.

PALISADES: The 9W Market is hosting their second annual Oktoberfeast featuring authentic German cuisine, imported draft beer and live music on Saturday, October 13th starting at 1pm.
