If you haven’t been following, NJ Advance Media (more commonly known as NJ.com) has been running a search since mid-January to find Jersey’s liveliest hangouts – including voting from the public and alot of legwork from veteran food journalist Pete Genovese. The cattle call for this NJ nightlife poll covered dive bars, craft beer bars, neighborhood bars, wine/whiskey/martini bars, sports bars and hotel/restaurant bars.

Two months, 60+ posts, thousands of nominations, 60 bars visited and probably a few drinks along the way – Corner Bar in Pilsgrove was crowned the winner (despite only a 3-star Yelp rating) last night according to NJ.com. South Jersey a little too far? The Stirling Hotel in Stirling (Morris County) was the People’s Choice winner.
