Taste of India Food Festival in Nyack

Arts from India announces its first annual “Taste of India” Food Festival & Indian Bazaar on Saturday, November 16 from 3PM to 8PM at The Nyack Center, located at 58 Depew Avenue in Nyack. Immerse all five senses during this one-of-a-kind festival featuring edible delights from veritable restaurants, live music and entertainment including R&B/Pop and Bollywood-influenced singer/songwriter Neel Nadkarni, and unique wares and art from local Indian artisans. Spectators will also enjoy classical Indian dance performances throughout the day.

The highlight of this family-friendly event will be the delicious food representing different regions of India, and all will be available for purchase. Mumbai Dreams in Central Nyack, New York will be serving “fusion” food like Indian macaroni and cheese, as well as “Indian street food” such as Vada Pav, Bhel and Samosas from western India.

Sitar Palace in Orangeburg, New York will be serving steamed rice cakes Idli, crisp rice pancakes Dosa, and many more delicacies from southern and eastern India. Namaste India in Mahwah, New Jersey will be serving all-time favorites from northern India like Chicken Tikka Masala, Saag Paneer, Kebabs, Chickpea Curry Chole, and a variety of Naan. Royal Kathiyawadi Kitchen from Edison, New Jersey will serve authentic dishes Gujarati food. All these with a lavish spread of Indian sweets, desserts and drinks from each part of India.

This unique dining experience showcases many different aspects of India’s beautiful culture. Nyack Center’s hall will be transformed into a bazaar, featuring local vendors selling handmade scarves, fine jewelry, beautiful clothing and more! All of this can be enjoyed alongside all-day entertainment on stage.

Everyone is invited to this tasty, educational and entertaining evening. Admission is free, and each restaurant and vendor will be selling their own cuisine and wares. Municipal parking is available.
