Tammy Dunwoody, Owner of The Art of Cake and Chef John Aramian, Producer of Peasant Chef TV have joined forces and combined their culinary talents to form the Rolling Pin Academy in Ridgewood. Rolling Pin Academy offers cooking classes, birthday parties, group events and more. For the summer, both cooking and fondant cake decorating summer camps are in session.

Chef John leads the cooking camps and teaches the campers how to create both savory and sweet items. There is also a focus on the importance of a balanced meal, the proper use of cooking tools, and being comfortable in the kitchen. Kids learn to follow recipes, measure, mix and chop, and bring home their completed dishes to share.

Chef Tammy, who has been featured on Cupcake Wars and The Martha Stewart show brings her baking and fondant decorating talents to the academy for her 4th year. Each year the camp is a little different but the main goal is to teach the campers to follow a recipe, measure and mix ingredients, bake, fill and decorate a cake.
