Rudy’s in Closter Makes First Move
The eventual renovation of Closter Plaza, along with arrival Whole Foods and what will likely be an array of high end tenats, is hardly a secret in northeast Bergen County. It’s also been well established that Rudy’s Pizza would be part of that new plan at the completion of said renovation. So after a few months of construction, Rudy’s has announced they’ve moved into their temporary Closter Plaza home which once housed Rafters.
With an expected 2 year (maybe more, maybe less we’re told) tenancy, Rudy’s will be serving the exact same menu their longtime customers will be familiar with. The same ovens (they are 50 years old) have made the move, so diners shouldn’t worry about the taste and texture of those pizzas. The owners intend to keep the family atmosphere, with the 6400 square foot space (about 100 seats) operating exactly as Rudy’s did before.
