A just opened (almost 2 months) restaurant in Cliffside Park called TJ’s Cafe, is serving a menu of homemade options of the “absolute best Southern Style Cooking”. The dishes are from decades old family recipes (a family-run restaurant on Chambers street had to be abandoned in the aftermath of 9/11) featuring fried chicken, ribs, meatloaf (and more) plus a laundry list of homemade cakes and pies.

The cash only, dine-in and takeout restaurant is open 7 days and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. A small outdoor patio with seating is available for dine-in guests. The parking lot is on the far side of the restaurant, shared with popular Chinese restaurant Petite Soo Chow.
