Brand New: Bamboo Sushi is Back in Northvale
Bamboo Northvale
After almost three months, Bamboo has reopened in Northvale in the Northvale Square shopping center under new ownership. The entrance way has been converted into a small loungey seating area but some of the kitchen/service staff have accompanied the new ownership and a majority of the restaurant layout has stayed the same. The biggest difference of course, is the lack of an All You Can Eat Sushi option.
The menu reads like similar sushi places in the area, with a majority of nigiri, maki (including many “signature rolls” brought over from the previous Bamboo menu) and various hot entrees (like Teriyaki) as the the focus. Large sections for appetizers, soups and salads are also available. Due to Korean ownership, a number of Korean dishes like Hwedup Bap have crept into the menu as well. View Menu (PDF)
Fried Shrimp Shumai
During the first few weeks, Bamboo has been mailing out coupons in order to generate some buzz surrounding their opening. Not quite at All You Can Eat prices, but certainly a way to get acclimated to the new setting.
