A health-focused restaurant serving halal bowls, salads and grilled proteins is expanding to Bergen County.

Grill & Greens is preparing to open at 36 Prospect Street in Ridgewood, bringing the growing fast-casual concept to the village.

The restaurant got its start in Bloomfield and has since expanded to Parsippany, with a menu centered around fresh, 100% halal food.

Guests can build their own meals with a choice of proteins, grains, vegetables and sauces, while the menu also includes salads, wraps, soups, pasta and combo meals.

Grilled proteins include options such as chicken, steak and salmon, while Mediterranean and international flavors are incorporated throughout the menu.

Grill & Greens describes its approach as focused on affordable, freshly made meals that balance health and flavor, with options available for a variety of dietary preferences.

An opening date for the Ridgewood location has not yet been announced.
