A new locally owned bagel shop is preparing to open in Bergen County.

Knockout Bagels is coming soon to 475 North Franklin Turnpike in Ramsey, with an opening currently planned for August.

The business is leaning into the tagline “Bagels With Attitude,” serving New York-style bagels alongside coffee from Porto Rico Importing Co, the longtime New York City coffee and tea company.

According to the owners, Ramsey is home, and the concept grew from a desire to make bagels for the friends, families and community they grew up with, with an emphasis on early-morning preparation and taking pride in each batch.

An exact opening date has not yet been announced.
