A new Caribbean-inspired restaurant is coming soon to Bergen County.

K Midnight Kitchen is preparing to open at 24 Hilliard Avenue in Edgewater, bringing together Caribbean flavors, Dominican-inspired dishes and soul food.

The restaurant is the creation of Katherine Jimenez, a former Wawa food manager who spent years working in the food industry before launching a concept of her own.

The menu will feature fried, BBQ and butter-baked chicken, along with baked mac and cheese, Rasta pasta, Yaroa and Dominican sushi.

Guests can also expect sandwiches, empanadas and other sides, along with bubble teas and specialty drinks.

An opening date has not yet been announced but expected sometime in September.
