A new restaurant appears to be on the way to Fort Lee.

Signage has gone up for Yui Izakaya at 2060 Hudson Street in Hudson Lights, with window displays announcing the restaurant is “Coming Soon.”

The new concept will take over the space previously occupied by Otter, the conveyor belt sushi restaurant that opened in early 2025.

While details about Yui Izakaya have not yet been announced, the name suggests the restaurant will focus on the Japanese izakaya dining style, which typically features small plates, grilled skewers, seafood and other shareable dishes paired with beer, sake and cocktails.

No opening date has been announced.
