A new waterfront dining destination is on the way to Bergen County.

Cov by Blu is preparing to open at 115 River Road in Edgewater, taking over the former Pier 115 property.

The new concept comes from the team behind Blu on the Hudson, the Weehawken restaurant known for its upscale dining, waterfront views and skyline backdrop.

While details about the menu and concept remain under wraps, early teasers show work well underway inside the sprawling waterfront space.

The restaurant has also launched its own social media presence, simply announcing, “Coming Soon. From the team behind @bluonthehudson.”

The upcoming opening marks the latest expansion for Blu Hospitality Group, whose portfolio also includes Blu on the Hudson in Weehawken, Blu Grotto in Livingston, and additional projects in development.

With its expansive multi-level waterfront building, outdoor decks and unobstructed Manhattan views, the former Pier 115 site has long been one of Edgewater’s most recognizable restaurant locations.

This is among the latest new spots transforming the Hudson riverfront the last few years including Hudson & Co (West New York-Website), Drift (Weehawken-Website), Don Coqui (Edgewater-Website) and the aforementioned Blu on the Hudson (Weehakwen-Website) along with the upcoming Mastro’s Steakhouse in the former Chart House location.

An official opening date has not yet been announced.
