A new sushi destination has officially opened its doors in Bergen County.

Shiro Sushi and Roll is now welcoming customers at 200 Old Tappan Road in Old Tappan, bringing a menu filled with sushi, sashimi, specialty rolls, donburi bowls and Japanese appetizers to the northern Bergen County community.

According to the restaurant, Shiro Sushi and Roll aims to deliver a refined sushi experience focused on tradition, quality and fresh ingredients. The menu features a mix of classic rolls and creative house specialties, along with a variety of Japanese favorites.

Guests will find familiar staples like tuna, salmon and yellowtail rolls alongside signature creations including the Shiro Roll, Old Tappan Roll, Godzilla Roll, Rainbow Roll and Tuna Lover Roll. The restaurant also offers sushi and sashimi combination platters, specialty chirashi bowls and teriyaki bowls.

Appetizers include gyoza, chicken karaage, takoyaki, kani salad and sashimi salad, while sushi enthusiasts can choose from an extensive selection of nigiri and sashimi featuring tuna, salmon, yellowtail, red snapper, eel, scallops and more.

Among the restaurant’s signature offerings are the Old Tappan Roll, made with shrimp tempura, cucumber and crab stick topped with salmon and lemon, and the Shiro Roll, which combines shrimp tempura and crab stick with seared tuna and salmon.

The restaurant is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and offers online ordering and mobile app ordering for takeout.

Customers can also choose from a variety of sushi sets, sashimi platters and specialty roll combinations designed for sharing.
