A popular specialty market known for its prepared foods, catering and gourmet grocery offerings is expanding in Rockland County.

Old World Food Market is preparing to open a second location in Orangeburg, bringing its concept beyond its original home in Nyack.

The new market will be located next to CVS in the Orangeburg Shopping Center, where the owners say the space is currently undergoing a complete renovation from top to bottom ahead of opening.

Founded in Nyack, Old World Food Market has built a following for its wide selection of freshly prepared meals, gourmet groceries, sandwiches, salads, baked goods and catering.

The market also offers hot meals to go, grocery delivery, rewards programs and event catering.

According to the company, its mission is centered around offering customers fresh, high-quality foods while serving as a neighborhood destination for everyday meals and specialty items.

The Orangeburg location will feature the same Old World Food Market experience that customers have come to know from the Nyack store, with the company saying it looks forward to bringing the concept to the surrounding community.

An official opening date has not yet been announced, though the owners say they will continue sharing updates as construction progresses.
