Pizza by From Scratch is Coming Soon to Ridgewood
A new pizza concept called Pizza by From Scratch is preparing to open in Ridgewood at 192 E. Ridgewood Avenue.
It’s expanding the footprint of the team behind From Scratch, which already operates elsewhere in town.
The upcoming spot will focus on Roman-style pinsa, a traditional form of pizza distinguished by its lighter texture and fermentation process, with branding that highlights “fresh homemade everything.”
According to the team, the dough is described as “carefully blended,” “hand-stretched,” “long-fermented,” and “baked to perfection,” with ingredients sourced from Italy and an emphasis on craftsmanship over shortcuts.
The process is said to rely on ancient grains, high hydration, and a 72-hour fermentation, resulting in a dough positioned as lighter, easier to digest, and flavor-forward.
In addition to pinsa, the menu will also include “stuffed focaccia” as well as other items.
No opening date has been announced as of yet.
