Uptown Coffee Co in Maywood is starting a new chapter this week under fresh ownership, officially reopening today.

The café, located on West Pleasant Avenue, is now owned by Kaylea and her wife Jordan.

Kaylea should be a familiar face to regulars as she’s been both a barista and the acting manager over the last two years—she also brings additional manager experience from other coffee spots in tbe area.

While the coffee shop will maintain its neighborhood vibe, customers can expect a few updates.

The team recently completing some light renovations, including refreshed paint and bathroom upgrades, as well as plans to incorporate more local artwork to enhance the space.

On the menu side, they’ll be fine-tuning existing items and are open to community suggestions for future offerings.
