Bergen Coffee Roasters is getting ready to open its doors at 20 Sheridan Avenue in Ho-Ho-Kus, bringing a fresh take on small-town coffee culture with a focus on in-house small-batch roasting.

The concept blends the warmth of a classic coffeehouse with modern touches, offering a lineup of espresso drinks and signature favorites like Spanish lattes, honey vanilla lattes, matcha lattes, and more.

Beans will be roasted onsite, allowing customers to witness the process and enjoy the freshest brews possible.

Founded by Hannah Lee, a specialty coffee expert with training across sourcing, roasting, and brewing techniques, the shop emphasizes transparency and passion—each roast thoughtfully curated with care.

Her goal is to share great coffee “without the pretentious vibes,” offering a welcoming space where quality speaks for itself.

There’s no kitchen, but guests can expect a rotating selection of pastries and baked goods delivered fresh daily.

The roughly 800-square-foot café will feature both indoor and outdoor seating.

No word yet on an opening date.
