With an abundance of restaurants catering to the cuisine, Americans eat close to “20 pounds of seafood a year”.

Oceano’s in Fair Lawn (Website) made the top five at #2 — the “upscale casual” spot was praise for swordfish kebab, seafood linguine and yellowfin tuna as was the “enviable” wine list.

Varka in Ramsey (Website), the “stylish but not stuffy restaurant” was named #16 — highlights included Greek salad, saganaki and swordfish kebab.
