After a decades long run of Chinese restaurants, the building at 88 Route 46 West in Ridgefield has some new cuisine planned.

A Mexican restaurant and bar named Cantina 46 is aiming to open this spring.

Few details have been shared on their website or social media, though there is an interview with Chef Julieta Ballesteros and the inspiration of the upcoming menu.

It also appears the interior has undergone a thorough renovation.

No word yet on an opening date, but several Instagram posts have been teasing a soft opening that’s coming very soon.
