It’s been a long journey for the team at Vesta in East Rutherford. Unfortunately not long after new Executive Chef Todd Villani took over, much of the restaurant was damaged by a fire on May 6th.

Vesta is back officially this weekend (though soft open now), with lots of “new” including their dining room, restored kitchen, bathrooms and more. That includes Villani’s first menu (View Menu), which is now launching for spring/summer.

Probably best known locally for his now shuttered farm-to-table restaurant Terre a Terre in Carlstadt — named one of New Jersey Monthly’s Top 20 New Restaurants in 2015 (View List) and 30 Best Meals by the Star Ledger’s Inside Jersey magazine the same year.

Vesta is no stranger to praise as it has frequently been named among the best pizza in the state, topping the NJ.com Pizza Power Rankings in 2016 (View Rankings) and was runner-up for best pizza in Bergen County earlier this year (View List).
