A Mediterranean restaurant from Israeli chef Eyal Shani is coming soon to Bergen County.

Miznon is preparing to open a new kosher location at American Dream in East Rutherford, adding another New Jersey outpost for the fast-casual concept.

Founded by Shani, Miznon focuses on Mediterranean and Israeli street food made with fresh, seasonal ingredients, with many of its dishes served inside pita.

The concept opened its first U.S. location in 2018 and has since grown to more than 25 locations worldwide, including restaurants in New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Miznon also operates a kosher location in Holmdel, New Jersey.

Miznon’s menu varies by location, but the concept is known for its pita sandwiches and vegetable-focused dishes, with open kitchens playing a central role in its restaurants.

The upcoming American Dream restaurant will also be kosher, according to Miznon’s website. An opening date has not yet been announced.
