North Jersey is Getting a Ramen Shop & Bakery Combo

Popular ramen shop Tenmomi is getting a permanent home—and expanding its concept in the process.

The ramen shop is preparing to move from its current Rutherford location to Nutley, where the business has signed the lease on what will be Tenmomi’s first independently operated brick-and-mortar shop.

The Rutherford location beneath the Williams Center had been intended as a temporary stop, with renovations to the building eventually requiring Tenmomi to move. According to the restaurant, that transition has now been moved up sooner than originally expected.

For the new location, Tenmomi is partnering with bakery concept Moffle Bar, combining operations under the name Tenmomi Moffle Bar.

The new restaurant will feature a ramen shop and bakery, with Tenmomi’s existing ramen remaining on the menu alongside an expanded selection of Asian-inspired desserts and savory dishes.

Plans also include a Sunday brunch menu, custom cakes and a broader lineup of baked goods made possible by the addition of another chef.

The team describes the upcoming shop as a long-term home for the concept and hopes to build it into a neighborhood “third space” beyond simply a place to eat.

An exact Nutley address has not yet been announced.
