Sprouts Farmers Market appears to be moving forward with plans for a new Bergen County location at 3 Main Street in Edgewater.

Headquartered in Phoenix, Sprouts specializes in fresh, natural and organic foods, with fresh produce positioned at the center of its stores.

Its assortment also places an emphasis on products for a variety of dietary lifestyles, including organic, plant-based and gluten-free options.

Sprouts has been expanding throughout New Jersey in recent years, including openings in Aberdeen and Woodbridge, with additional growth underway elsewhere in the state.

An opening date for the Edgewater store has not yet been announced.
