PopUp Bagels has revealed new details about its first Bergen County location, which is expected to open this fall.

The popular bagel concept is preparing to open at 6-8 Washington Street in Tenafly, with an official opening date expected to be announced soon.

PopUp Bagels’ website currently lists October 2 as the opening date for the Tenafly shop, although a representative for the company tells Boozy Burbs that the date has not yet been confirmed.

To mark the opening, PopUp Bagels is teaming up with chef and restaurateur Josh Capon on a Tenafly-exclusive Capon’s Carrot Cake Schmear, which will debut during the opening celebration and be available for a limited time while supplies last.

“I’m beyond excited for PopUp Bagels open in Tenafly, right in my own backyard. And of course, I had to get in on the schmear game,” said Capon. “We came up with a Carrot Cake Schmear that’s fun, a little nostalgic, and ridiculously delicious. Great bagels, great schmear, right here in Tenafly. What’s better than that?”

Capon is behind several restaurant concepts including Capon’s Burgers, Capon’s Chophouse, Little Maven and Flyfish Club, with Capon’s Burgers recently opening its first New Jersey location at Bergen Town Center.

The Tenafly shop will mark PopUp Bagels’ first permanent Bergen County location, following previous pop-ups in Tenafly and Midland Park and plans by the company to expand throughout New Jersey.
