Among the 19 selections, two are located in Bergen County: Steve’s Burgers in Garfield and White Manna in Hackensack.

Steve’s Burgers, Garfield

Steve’s Burgers was highlighted for its hand-formed burgers, particularly the restaurant’s namesake cheeseburger.

New Jersey Monthly noted the cash-only spot has been around for 16 years. Its signature Steve’s Cheeseburger is topped with bacon, lettuce, tomato, signature sauce and an oversized onion ring. The mostly takeout restaurant also serves cheesesteaks and hot dogs.

Steve’s Burgers is located at 506 Route 46 in Garfield.

White Manna, Hackensack

The magazine also included one of Bergen County’s most recognizable burger destinations, White Manna.

The Hackensack institution was highlighted for its slider-sized burgers, cooked on the restaurant’s small griddle with thinly sliced onions and American cheese. New Jersey Monthly also referenced the attention White Manna has received over the years, including from the late Anthony Bourdain.

White Manna is currently located at 358 River Street in Hackensack. The restaurant is also preparing for a future relocation to a larger space on Hackensack Avenue.
