Opening Alert: Ape in the Kitchen, Pearl River, NY
A new Asian-American fusion restaurant has officially opened in Rockland County.
Ape in the Kitchen is now open at 20 East Central Avenue in Pearl River, with a menu from Chef April “Apes” Camacho Keosky that draws from her culinary background and Asian-American upbringing.
A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Keosky has worked in fine dining and high-volume kitchens throughout her career and is opening the restaurant alongside her husband and business partner, Chris Keosky.
The concept describes its approach as “First Generation Asian-American Cuisine for the Next Generation,” bringing Asian influences together with familiar American dishes in a casual format.
The menu spans burgers, rice bowls, noodles, sandwiches and shareable dishes.
Several dishes reflect the restaurant’s fusion approach, pairing Asian flavors and ingredients with American comfort food, while other selections lean more closely into dishes and preparations from across Asian cuisines.
The restaurant is open Wednesday through Sunday.
