Bergen Has Some of the Best Sandwiches in Jersey

Two Bergen County restaurants have landed on NJ.com’s newly released ranking of the 51 best sandwiches in New Jersey for 2026 (Read Full Story).

The list spans sandwich shops and restaurants across the state, with Dillery Deli in East Rutherford and Vinnie’s Mootz in Lyndhurst both earning spots.

Dillery Deli came in at No. 39 for its Peaches and Burrata sandwich, made with pistachio pesto, burrata, prosciutto and Jersey Fresh peaches on focaccia from Black Magic Bakehouse in Ridgewood.

The East Rutherford deli opened in June and is owned by Dylan Elias, who previously operated Plated by D in Hackensack.

Nearby in Lyndhurst, Vinnie’s Mootz earned the No. 36 spot for its Where’s the Beef sandwich.

The sandwich features house-made roasted top sirloin with the restaurant’s signature mozzarella on toasted semolina bread and is served with au jus for dipping.
