A new American restaurant and bar has opened in Rockland County.

Piebird is now open inside the DoubleTree by Hilton in Nanuet, serving breakfast and dinner daily alongside craft cocktails and a menu centered around American comfort food.

The restaurant describes its approach as contemporary American cuisine prepared with high-quality ingredients and influences from across the country, with a focus on approachable dishes ranging from familiar favorites to more creative offerings.

According to Piebird, the concept takes inspiration from classic American pie culture, including the pie birds traditionally used to vent steam from covered pies while baking, with pie playing a central role in both the restaurant’s name and menu.

Piebird also incorporates some of the DoubleTree property’s history into its story, noting that the hotel was originally built in the 1930s and later became known for its supper club and entertainment before eventually becoming a Hilton property.

The restaurant features a full bar and spacious dining room and is open to both hotel guests and the general public.
