An Italian gelateria specializing in authentic gelato and gourmet waffles is preparing to open in Rutherford.

Cirillo’s Gelateria is coming soon to 18 Park Avenue, taking over a storefront in the heart of downtown Rutherford.

According to the team, the concept will focus on authentic Italian gelato made “the way it was meant to be,” describing its products as silky, rich and made without shortcuts or compromises.

The shop has also announced a partnership with Madò Creme Spalmabili, an Italian brand known for premium spreadable creams, suggesting those products will be incorporated into its desserts and menu offerings.

An opening date has not yet been announced.
