A new restaurant and entertainment concept is taking shape at 58-60 South Washington Avenue in Bergenfield.

The property had previously been expected to become Meat Palace, a Korean barbecue restaurant, although it is currently unclear whether that concept and name are still moving forward.

The latest details indicate that a restaurant will occupy the first floor, while the second floor is expected to include space for private events, multicultural celebrations and live performances.

The property is also expected to feature private karaoke rooms, adding another entertainment component to the concept.

It remains unclear whether the restaurant portion will continue to operate as Meat Palace or whether a new restaurant concept is being introduced alongside the expanded event and karaoke offerings-ownership that was working on this project also procured a liquor license as part of their plans.

Additional details, including the restaurant name, menu and anticipated opening timeline, have not yet been announced.
