A new coffee roastery and café has opened in Bergen County.

Vigilant Coffee Roasters is now operating at 94 Anderson Street in Hackensack, serving coffee roasted on-site alongside espresso drinks, specialty beverages, tea and whole-bean coffee.

Ownership describes the city as the inspiration behind the concept and says Vigilant was created to serve the community where he was born and raised.

Vigilant focuses exclusively on single-origin coffee, with beans sourced from individual origins rather than blends and roasted in small batches at the location.

The drink menu includes traditional espresso offerings such as Americanos, cappuccinos, lattes, mochas and cortados, along with cold coffee and a lineup of specialty drinks.

Whole beans are also available for retail, with current selections including coffees sourced from Colombia, Papua New Guinea and Uganda, while subscriptions are available for recurring deliveries.

Vigilant Coffee Roasters is open six days a week (closed Sundays).
