Alfalfa has expanded with a new location coming in Edgewater. The eatery is open at 725 River Road, joining the lineup of businesses at the Edgewater Harbor shopping center. Alfalfa is known for a menu of salads, soups, breakfast burritos and house-made doughnuts, with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The brand was founded by a group of friends who grew up in Hoboken – after pursuing corporate careers, they returned to start Alfalfa, driven by a shared goal of offering high-quality, healthy, and accessible food to their community. Their journey began at a Hoboken farmers market, followed by a pop-up and eventually a permanent storefront in 2019. The concept was built on the idea of creating a space that promotes balance, connection, and real food. This is the brand’s first storefront in Bergen County, joining existing storefronts in Hoboken, Jersey City and multiple shops in CA.
