Moobongri is Coming Soon to Fort Lee

A popular Korean comfort food chain is preparing to open its first Bergen County location.

Moobongri Soondae Guk has signage up at 2151 Lemoine Avenue in Fort Lee, with social media pages confirming the restaurant is “coming soon.” While an opening date has not yet been announced, the upcoming restaurant has been actively teasing its arrival online.

Moobongri specializes in soondae guk, a traditional Korean soup made with soondae (Korean blood sausage) and rich broth. The chain has built a following around hearty, comforting soups and classic Korean dishes that are especially popular during colder months.

It’s a staple of Korean cuisine, featuring slices of soondae, meat, and vegetables served in a steaming bowl of broth. Diners typically customize the soup with scallions, fermented shrimp, chili paste, and other condiments.

In recent posts, the Fort Lee location described its signature offering as “real Korean comfort food” and highlighted a traditional soondae guk prepared with “100% beef bone broth.” Another post promises a broth that is “pure, clean, and deeply satisfying.”

No official opening date has been announced, though the restaurant has repeatedly stated that it is coming soon.
