A new dessert and coffee concept is preparing to debut in downtown Englewood.

Velvet Crush, a new venture from the team behind Sweet Kneads by Ridhima (Livingston), is slated to open at 14 Engle Street—taking over the former Crush Cookie Bar space.

The concept is being described as a cozy late-night bakery and café focused on warm cookies, specialty coffee drinks, and “good energy.”

Social media promotion teases velvet soft lattes, fresh-baked cookies, and a menu built around indulgent desserts and café-style offerings.

Sweet Kneads by Ridhima, based in Livingston, has built a following for its cookies, cakes, coffee drinks, and vegan and gluten-free options.

Velvet Crush appears to expand on that formula with a more dessert-and-coffee focused concept designed for downtown Englewood.

The branding leans playful and modern, with the team describing the upcoming spot as “your new little obsession.”

An opening date of June 7th has been shared.
