Handroll House, a new sushi concept, is now open in East Rutherford.

The restaurant comes from the same team behind Butterfish Sushi, which opened last year in Rutherford.

This includes Chef Jeffry Undiarto of the two-Michelin-starred restaurant n/naka, along with Chefs Luis and JoJo of Butterfish—all of whom are collaborating on the new project.

Handroll House is being billed as “New Jersey’s first and only handroll bar,” with a focus on sushi that is “made to order—the way sushi was meant to be experienced.”

Expect “pristine fish” with rice, nori and the “precision of Michelin-level craftsmanship”—that’s “all wrapped into a new style of sushi experience”.

It’s currently open six days a week (closed Mondays).
