A new café concept inspired by European style and design is on the way to Bergen County.

Monaco’s Café is preparing to open in Mahwah, bringing what it describes as a “modern-meets-vintage café” focused on coffee, tea, and a curated beverage and pastry program.

Early branding positions the concept as a space to “pause, sip, and post,” with an emphasis on both quality drinks and a relaxed, aesthetic-driven atmosphere.

The menu is expected to include specialty coffee, chai teas, lattes, pastries, and a selection of healthier beverage options such as shakes.

Social media teasers describe the concept as “European soul, served in New Jersey,” with inspiration drawn from Monaco and Paris, suggesting a café experience that blends classic European influence with a modern presentation.

The space is being designed as a neighborhood-style café intended for both quick visits and longer stays, with a focus on comfort, ambiance, and everyday routine.

An official opening date has not yet been announced.
