A new pizza spot has officially opened in Bergen County as Uncle Al’s is now open in Edgewater.

According to their website they aim to “make pizza the way it should be,” noting there were “no true sourdough pizza spots in the area” and a desire to move away from “low quality ingredients” and heavier styles of pizza.

At the core of the concept is a sourdough-based dough, paired with what the restaurant describes as “clean, fresh ingredients” to create a slice that “tastes better and feels lighter.”

Uncle Al’s is currently open seven days a week.
