Sweetbeanz, a modern coffee, dessert, and gelato bar, is preparing to open in Allendale this spring.

The concept is centered around strong visual branding and a playful identity, anchored by signature blue cups, a bean mascot, and the slogan “Sip, Scoop, Smile,” positioning Sweetbeanz as a coffee and dessert experience rather than a traditional café.

By day, Sweetbeanz is expected to operate as a bright, welcoming space focused on creatively crafted coffee drinks and breakfast pastries, while evenings will shift the mood to a dessert-forward setting featuring gelato and curated dessert offerings, referred to by the team as “Sweetbeanz After Dark.”

The owner, an Allendale resident, brings a background in brand building, marketing, hospitality partnerships, and hands-on experience across restaurants, bars, and cafés, with a focus on consumer experience, visual presentation, and community engagement.

Sweetbeanz was conceived to fill what the owner identified as a missing element in Allendale’s walkable downtown—a dedicated space for coffee and desserts throughout the day and into the evening, designed to bring the community together around quality, creativity, and atmosphere.

The café will offer specialty and seasonal coffee drinks, including its signature Blue Bean Latte, along with pastries, artisanal gelato, and gelato flights, with design details throughout the space reflecting the brand’s signature blue aesthetic.

The space will be just under 1,000 square feet, with seating for approximately 12 to 20 guests, and plans for outdoor seating during warmer months.

Sweetbeanz is targeting a Spring 2026 opening, with final menu details and operating hours still being finalized.
