Il Vero is gearing up to bring a new energy to downtown Westwood, with a full restaurant and bar concept heading to Center Avenue.

The upcoming spot will take over the space most recently home to Prohibition (and before that Center Tavern and Bat Barry’s), marking a refresh for one of the town’s most recognizable locations.

Il Vero is a partnership between hospitality veteran Maria Sausa and Gia Giudice, the reality TV star and social media influencer, and the team has been putting the property through major construction ahead of opening.

That buildout is expected to include the previously planned rooftop bar, adding an extra layer to the experience once doors officially open.

According to Sausa, guests can expect a “New York City” vibe, and Giudice recently shared on Instagram (View Post) that they’ve been focused on the food and décor, where “every detail” has been “intentional.”

This new venture is currently expected to open in Spring 2026.
