A new restaurant named The Local is now open at 235 Kinderkamack Road in Oradell.

The concept is described as “a neighborhood quick-serve burger spot” with everything cooked to order and built around a tight, focused menu designed to be casual, fast, and quality-driven.

The owner brings an entrepreneurial background along with hands-on experience studying quick-serve operations, noting that the idea grew out of a desire to create a true local alternative to big chains where teens, families, and workers could all feel at home.

The menu centers on burgers made from a custom Angus beef blend, hand-breaded crispy chicken, seasoned fries, and real-ice-cream milkshakes.

The Local operates out of a 1,300–1,400 square-foot space with seating for roughly two-dozen guests.

It’s currently open seven days a week.
