Ixim Taco is opening this week in Hackensack.

According to details from management, they are “all about celebrating the heart and soul of Mexican cuisine”, albeit with a “modern twist” — it’s billed as a “destination for tacos and tasty surprises”.

It’s the same team behind Bitol Cantina in Clifton.

Inspired by ixim, the Mayan word for corn, the taqueria will “honor Mexico’s most cherished ingredient while reimagining traditional flavors”.

From hand-pressed tortillas and “bold” salsas to a “lively and colorful atmosphere”, they’re aiming to “blend tradition with creativity”.

According to their recent social media posts, they expect the soft opening to begin tomorrow on December 9th.
