A new sushi concept called Handroll House is set to open in East Rutherford later this winter.

The restaurant comes from the same team behind Butterfish Sushi, which opened last year in Rutherford.

According to info shared, Chef Jeffry Undiarto of the two-Michelin-starred restaurant n/naka, along with Chefs Luis and JoJo of Butterfish, are collaborating on the new project.

Handroll House is being billed as “New Jersey’s first and only handroll bar,” with a focus on sushi that is “made to order—the way sushi was meant to be experienced.”

Expect “pristine fish” with rice, nori and the “precision of Michelin-level craftsmanship”—that’s “all wrapped into a new style of sushi experience”.

An exact address has not yet been made public, but the restaurant is confirmed to be located in East Rutherford.
